IPL: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians Odds and Betting Preview

M.A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai - The Mumbai Indians face the Royal Challengers Bangalore with the a place in the 2011 IPL final on offer to the victors. Mumbai are the 4/5 favourites for the match with BetVictor. The Challengers are 11/10 to qualify for the final at the second attempt with bet365.

The Mumbai Indians overcame the Kolkata Knight Riders with 4 balls to spare in the elimination final on Wednesday evening to join the IPL Champions League. Mumbai were the runaway leaders in the early part of the IPL season following eight victories from their opening ten games before a late season collapse almost saw Sachin Tendulkar's side miss out on the playoffs altogether. The Indians have since recovered their form and recorded back to back victories over the Knight Riders to reach this stage of the competition. Mumbai won the regular season meeting between the sides by nine wickets but that was of course before Bangalore's Chris Gayle arrived to the tournament. The Indians are 21/20 to win the competition with bet365.

Bangalore lost to the Super Kings in the first qualifying match and now have their second chance and final chance to reach the IPL final. The Challengers finished the season at the top of the IPL with 19 points and ended the season in stunning form with only one loss from their last nine games. Chris Gayle has been key to the side's success with the side winning eight of their ten games since he arrived and losing three of the four games without him. The West Indies batsman has lit up the IPL this season with 39 sixes and over 500 runs. To further underline Gayle's importance to the Challengers the only two losses they have suffered since his arrival are the only two occasions he has failed to reach double figures. Bangalore are a 7/2 chance to win the IPL with Paddy Power.

Sachin Tendulkar, Mumbai's leading batsman with 513 runs this season, is the favourite to top score for his side at a best price of 12/5 with totesport. Aiden Blizzard, who scored a half century in the eliminator against Kolkata, is a 4/1 chance in the market with Ladbrokes. Ambati Rayudu, who has scored 395 runs so far this campaign, is an 11/2 chance with Blue Square.

Chris Gayle is understandably the clear favourite to top score for the Challengers at a best price of 9/4 with Blue Square. Virat Kholi, who is second only to Gayle for the most runs scored in the IPL this season, is a 4/1 shot in the market with Ladbrokes. AB De Villiers, who has scored 213 runs in his 14 IPL matches this year is a 4/1 chance with Skybet.

Bangalore are 11/10 to hit the highest opening partnership with bet365 and 10/11 to hit the most sixes with the same firm. The Indians can be backed at 6/4 with Paddy Power to hit the most sixes and are 10/11 with Boylesports to put on the highest opening partnership.

The Match Kicks off at 2000 Local Time and 1530 BST.
