IPL: Chennai Super Kings vs Kochi Tuskers Kerala Odds and Betting Preview

M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai - The Chennai Super Kings face the Kochi Tuskers with the opportunity to move to the top of the table and guarantee a place in the competition's final four. Chennai are the 2/5 favourites for the match with Paddy Power. Kochi are 2/1 with bet365 to secure the victory needed to keep their slim qualifcation hopes alive.

Chennai are currently second in the IPL points table and have the chance to secure a place in the knockout stage with victory today. The Super Kings are hitting form as we approach the end of the season and have won their past four matches in the competition. Chennai have been outstanding with both bat and ball in the competition so far and have three of the top twelve leading wicket takers as well as four of the IPL's top twelve batsmen in their ranks. The Super Kings are currently 10/3 on Betfair to win this year's IPL.

Kochi will need to win by a convincing margin today and hope Kolkata lose in their final two matches to stand any chance of reaching the competition's latter stages. The Tuskers chances will not be helped by the absence of skipper Mahela Jayawardene who has joined up with the Sri Lankan national team for their tour of England. Kochi bounced back from disappointing losses to Punjab and Bangalore with a convincing victory over Rajasthan. Parthiv Patel will act as skipper for the side for what is likely to be the side's final game of the season.

Michael Hussey, who has scored just under 400 runs so far this campaign, is the favourite to top score for the Super Kings at a best price of 3/1 with Boylesports. Suresh Raina, who is one of four Chennai batsmen with over 300 runs this season, is a 4/1 shot with Stan James whilst Murali Vijay is a 7/2 chance with Ladbrokes. Subramaniam Badrinath, who is Chennai's second leading batsman with 349 runs, looks good value at 11/2 in the same market with bet365.

Brendon McCullum, top scorer for the Tuskers with 324 runs so far this season, is the favourite to top score for his side at 3/1 with Ladbrokes. Brad Hodge, who has had a disappointing season so far by his standards, is a 5/1 chance with bet365. Ravindra Jadeja, who has 264 runs this campaign, is 7/1 with Ladbrokes in the same market.

The Tuskers are 6/5 with Coral to put on the highest opening partnership whilst Chennai are 11/10 to hit the most sixes at Boylesports.

The Match starts at 1530 BST/2000 Local Time and is live on ITV 4.
