IPL Betting - Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians

Friday Apr 9, 2010

Today’s IPL match sees a clash between the top team in the table and the bottom team in the table, as Mumbai look to bounce back from their 24 run defeat to the Chennai Super Kings. Punjab have been glued to the bottom of the table for almost the whole tournament, and have only pride to play for now that they cannot qualify for the semi-finals.

Mumbai are the favourites for this match, priced at 8/13 (bet $130 to make $80 profit), while the Kings are at 11/8.

Mahela Jayawardene is favourite to be the top scorer for the Kings, priced at 11/4, with Shaun Marsh next at 3/1. Their captain Kumar Sangakkara is at 7/2, and Yuvraj Singh is at 4/1. Yuvraj has generally been disappointing this season, but gave a taster of his awesome hitting power last match, when he smashed 28 from 16 balls, with three sixes.

Following their loss last weekend, Mumbai have been criticised for relying on Sachin Tendulkar too much, and they collapsed after he retired hurt last match. He is priced at 15/8 to be top batsman for the Indians today. Sanath Jayasuriya is at 9/2, and JP Duminy is a 5/1 shot.
